Biography
Silvana Quaglini, Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering and PhD in Bioengineering, is full professor of Medical Informatics and Decision Support Systems in Medicine at the University of Pavia. She’s former president of the Italian Society for Biomedical Informatics (SIBIM). She mainly worked on probabilistic models for supporting medical decisions and economic evaluations of healthcare programs. In the last years, the increasing emphasis towards personalized medicine has focused her research on shared decision making and home patients monitoring through telemedicine. She participated, also as a coordinator, to several national and international projects. She is the author of more than 300 scientific publications, and her H-Index is 45 according to Scopus.
